Getting back in shape before turning 40.
I've been an international flight attendant for almost 20 years. I was an athlete my whole life — basketball, volleyball, martial arts — but the constant travel eventually caught up with me. By my late 30s, I was a long way from where I'd been when my athletic career ended. I wanted to take back control of my health, and turning 40 felt like the right milestone to build it around. So I hired a coach. He built me a plan that actually fit my hectic schedule, held me accountable even though I was always in different time zones, and adjusted my programs around whatever equipment I actually had access to at the time. He kept me pointed in the right direction as I kept progressing. By the end, I was more confident in how I looked and healthier than I'd been since my late 20s.
